A sculptural and highly refined Italian mid-century chandelier composed of hand-blown Murano glass pendant drops, each formed with a silvered interior core cased in clear crystal, suspended from a polished chrome architectural frame. The chandelier is organized around a central cylindrical column and circular canopy, from which evenly spaced chrome rods descend to support the elongated teardrop pendants, creating a rhythmic, cascading effect.

The silvered glass technique—one of Murano’s most technically demanding processes—produces a mirrored, liquid-metal interior that reflects and diffuses light while maintaining transparency and depth. When illuminated, the drops emit a warm, shimmering glow, balancing opulence with the restraint characteristic of Italian modernism. The elongated proportions and substantial gathers at the base of each drop indicate skilled free-blown craftsmanship rather than mold production.

The minimalist chrome armature reflects post-war architectural lighting trends, while the dramatic glass elements anchor the piece firmly in the tradition of Venetian luxury glassmaking.
