This is a very rare piece, I have never seen another, even in photos. All of the details are restored original.
Designed for adults or students the angled top can be made level using an internal latch. Completely original, restored by hand. This is a very comfortable drafting or writing desk for adults and older children. This is a classic piece of legacy furniture that has already lasted generations, and has many many years of life left.
There are small imperfections appropriate for the age such as one or two slight dings in the metal at the front edge which are only visible when open, and some wood had cracked and is missing near the left hinge (see photos). These are very small in comparison to the overall impression and eclectic majesty this piece commands.
