Early 20th-century Hopi (Hopi-Tewa) pottery bowl from First Mesa, Arizona, created in the Sikyatki Revival tradition.
Hand-coiled red clay with buff slip, decorated in black and red mineral pigments with classic geometric motifs inspired by prehistoric Sikyatki designs. Outdoor fired using traditional methods.
Displays honest, age-appropriate wear consistent with early Hopi pottery. Interior firing clouds, soft rim wear, and natural pigment variation are present. The underside retains a scratched inventory mark and traces of old red collection paint, consistent with mid-20th-century museum or anthropological cataloging. Unsigned.
