Before he turned his camera's lens toward a bold vision of the human body, famed photographer Herb Ritts grew up in Los Angeles, California among the shelves of simple but clever Lucite objects his parents Herbert, Sr. and Shirley Ritts had parlayed into a booming interior decor business.
These fascinating 1970s-era Ritts Company bookends feature thin bands of a bronze-like material trapped inside the Lucite in a random, "shattered" pattern that refracts beautifully from any angle.
Part of the “Moonscape" collection of Astrolite Lucite items.
Each bookend is 5.5"H x 5.5"W x 2.5"D. Together, they form a semicircle 11" wide.
