The piece is finished in a deep black high gloss lacquer on the interior edge and natural micro mosaic eggshell on the outer edge and bottom. Numerous layers of lacquer are applied to build up the surface until it is smooth and can be polished to a high sheen. The four corners are gracefully rounded. Unmarked. See less
