Antique underglaze Blue & white Chinese Qing Dynasty Export Porcelain, Hot Water Warming Dish, circa 1810.
The rare octagonal form deep hot water warming dish is painted in underglaze-blue with a scene of a river, with mountains in the background and in the foreground islands with building, a bridge and a pagoda. The dish having handles at each side, one handle is also a spout allowing hot water to fill the reservoir below, and keep food above warm.
The sides of the dish are decoarted with blue floral sprigs, the dish is in very good condition.
