Each nightstand features four brass pulls … Read more Stylish, practical nightstands/chests/besides/end tables in stained mahogany on rosewood plinth bases (ca. 1960s, USA).
Each nightstand features four brass pulls which open to reveal two, sizable, dovetailed drawers (two drawer pulls correspond to one drawer - there are two double drawers per chest).
The design, craftsmanship, and quality of materials are akin to woodworkers from the New Hope School, including George Nakashima.
Though the maker is unknown, each chest retains the retailer tag to the top drawer (Solesto Furniture Showrooms 227 Canal Street New York, NY). Very good, refinished condition, though light wear remains (patina to polished brass, a gouge and scuff to one surface, and light, general wear).
