The charming design incorporates an artichoke finial with delicate leaf transitioning into the dome of the lid. That foliate motif is repeated in the handles whose decorative, Neoclassical flourishes complement the heft of the weighty vessel. The milk-white finish is mostly clear with only a few freckles concentrated to the interior; apart from a few "flea bite" chips (expected with age and use) there are no apparent chips, cracks, or crazing in the ceramic.
