The top surface is rounded at the corners and wrapped with narrow pieces of the burled walnut to begin the waterfall effect that leads the eye from one drawer to the next. A frieze drawer on the very top of the stack no longer has a functioning lock, but is easily opened by gently grabbing the corners. The six drawers in the middle of the case feature stunning bookmatched fronts of radiating grain patterns that feel cohesive and expansive; they also share a key between them to secure the functioning locks. One additional drawer in the base is nearly hidden except for the keyhole (which does not lock). Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, ready for your interior.
