Hand-wrought in solid brass and finished with a gleaming silver-plated surface, each vessel features Los Castillo’s iconic sculptural bird handles—meticulously formed in brass and inlaid with richly mottled malachite.

The sugar pot is marked Hand Wrought Plateado, while the matching creamer bears the full hallmark:

About Los Castillo

Founded in 1939 by the Castillo brothers—Antonio, Jorge, Miguel, and Justo—Los Castillo became one of the most important design studios in Taxco, the epicenter of Mexico’s silversmithing revival. Alumni of William Spratling’s workshop, the brothers developed their own distinct aesthetic using bold silhouettes, mixed metals, brilliant stone inlays, and imaginative forms drawn from Aztec, Mayan, and naturalistic themes.
