Its brown glaze, still clearly visible, highlights the fine craftsmanship. The Roman numerals and finger indentations add a subtle touch of artisanal decoration. Two chips on the neck do not detract from its stability or elegance. A rare piece, representative of the pottery skills of Saintonge in the 16th and 17th centuries. See less
