These reupholstered bergère chairs are inspired by classic French seating developed in the early 18th century during the Louis XV period. Traditionally characterized by their upholstered sides, carved wood frames, and low, comfortable proportions, bergères were designed for relaxed conversation in salons rather than formal posture.
A beautiful example of French design, with fresh white upholstery and painted finish. Overall excellent condition, with some wear and patina to painted surfaces. Sourced from a Hamptons estate.
