A sculptural silver-plated metal salt and pepper shaker set titled "Ogiva" designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini for Argenteria Merano. Produced for Design Gallery Milan in 1989. Maker's mark on underside. The set features a streamlined, rocket-like silhouette, reflecting Iosa Ghini's signature Bolidism style, which merged movement, form, and industrial precision. Crafted in silver-plated metal, the piece highlights a harmonious balance between functionality and art object. With its machine-age geometry and metallic finish, Ogiva stands as both a refined tabletop design and a collectible icon of Milan's avant-garde design era.

Massimo Iosa Ghini (b. 1959) is an acclaimed Italian architect and designer recognized as a leading figure of the Bolidism movement and an early member of the Memphis Group. Educated at the Politecnico di Milano, his multidisciplinary work spans architecture, product design, and interior design. He has created projects for major international brands including Moroso, Ferrari, Cassina, and Fiat, and his architectural firm, Iosa Ghini Associati, has completed high-profile commissions worldwide. Iosa Ghini's work has been exhibited at the Triennale di Milano, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Celebrated for his synthesis of technology, dynamism, and form, he has received numerous design honors including the Good Design Award, Red Dot Award, and Compasso d'Oro mention, establishing him as one of Italy's most innovative postmodern and contemporary designers.
