Vintage Hand Carved Bamboo Wooden Storage Box With Woven Handles
A unique and gorgeous vintage wooden storage box featuring intricate floral carvings on all sides. The design is accented by bamboo framing and woven handles, providing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The interior is wooden and showcases signs of age, adding to its vintage charm. Perfect for use as a decorative storage piece or display item.
The design includes a hinged lid and a double interlocking woven handle on top.
Based on the design and construction of the box, it was made sometime between 1970 and 1980. Maker and country of origin are unknown.
Since wood is an organic material, it shrinks across the grain with age and there is a slight split in the wood on the left side center of the top which does not affect its integrity.

The box itself is working order, the hinges and the attachments to hold the top of the box work perfectly. The handles show signs of use but they are not damaged in any way. The one imperfection I’ve photographed for your reference. One one side of the box, there is small piece of the flower design missing. You can also tell if you look closely that because wood is an organic material, it shrinks across the grain with age and there can be slight splits. less
