Thoroughly detailed with hand-painted gold highlights, these 18th Century figures have a very John Currin (contemporary artist) look about them, though these were created in the 19th Century. Exquisitely rendered, with flowing fabric and ribbons. There is some slight loss on the cuff of the gentleman, but it is not immediately apparent given the complexity and liveliness of the pair.
Gentleman: 7.5" x 4" x 3"
Lady: 7" x 4" x 2.75"
