The Stumpery at Highgrove is based on a Victorian concept of growing ferns amongst tree stumps and giving back to the earth. Ensuring nothing goes to waste life springs and ferns sprout and flourish from the cracks and seams. Home to mysterious figures and sculptures The Stumpery design includes a classic temple built from green oak a thatched treehouse a wall of gifts made from gifted stones to His Majesty and the Wood Nymph `Goddess of the Wood`. The Stumpery design has been skilfully translated into a beautiful woven tapestry for the collection.
