A Hollywood Regency display cabinet in the manner of James Mont, circa 1950, having a dramatic pagoda form and finished … Read more A Hollywood Regency display cabinet in the manner of James Mont, circa 1950, having a dramatic pagoda form and finished in gold leaf accented by verdigris detail. Resting upon Ming legs, the cabinet consists of two glazed doors adorned with faux bamboo detail and opening to reveal a lighted interior having two glass shelves above a fixed giltwood shelf and against a giltwood back panel. Fixed glazed side panels repeat the detail of the doors. The pagoda-form curves upward behind a stepped faux bois cornice and terminates in a verdigris Greek Key frieze below a turned finial. At once dramatic, sophisticated, and playful, this piece is ideal for a myriad of uses and spaces. See less
