Its unique ogival, fan-like silhouette rests on four elegantly turned cabriole feet, giving the substantial piece a sense of architectural lift. The interior surface is meticulously decorated with low-relief carvings of the "Three Friends of Winter" (pine, bamboo, and plum) alongside blooming chrysanthemums, symbolizing resilience and scholarly virtue.



Small, vibrant coral or lacquer inlays provide subtle pops of color against the weathered, dark tea-brown patina of the wood.
