Bing & Grøndahl introduced the world’s first true collector Christmas plate in 1895, and these iconic Danish plates remain among the most beloved holiday collectibles ever produced. Each plate is molded in sculptural relief and hand-painted in classic cobalt blue on glossy white porcelain, a hallmark of B&G craftsmanship.

This curated set includes five original Bing & Grøndahl Christmas plates, dating from 1968 through 1975, each depicting a traditional Danish winter or Christmas Eve scene. Designed by Henry Thelander, the plates capture intimate moments of Danish holiday life—church gatherings, family music around the Christmas tree, quiet village landscapes, wildlife in snow, and pastoral winter scenes.

Each plate measures approximately 7–7.25 inches in diameter and is clearly marked on the reverse with the Bing & Grøndahl / Copenhagen Porcelain backstamp, year, and design information. All plates feature dual hanging holes for wall display.
