OHAUS introduced the Model 310 in 1957 as its first Dial-O-Gram balance. Designed as a precision laboratory instrument, its long architectural beam, suspended weighing pan and graphic circular dial now give it the presence of an industrial objet.

The aged neutral finish is particularly good: layers of paint loss, scuffs and surface wear soften the machine-age geometry and give the piece the character of an instrument that has lived a working life.

Styled on a bookshelf, desk or console, it works beautifully in a collected study, dark academia interior, apothecary-inspired room or modern loft. It is the sort of unexpected object that gives a room a point of view.

Marked OHAUS Dial-O-Gram, 310 gram capacity. Made in the USA. Suspended weighing pan present.

In good vintage condition with pronounced surface wear throughout, including paint loss, scratches, scuffs and areas of oxidation/discoloration. Label also shows age and wear. The scale has not been tested for calibration or weighing accuracy and is offered as a vintage scientific and decorative object. See less
