This is an antique folk art mirror, having several nails that the artist pounded into the wood frame. The nails have a nice patina and they create a rather interesting surface.
The back was more recently redone with black felt and a newer steel hanging loop.
There is some slight nail loss when looking closely, but it is only noticeable when looking for it.
It's a very cool piece.
