It's in the brutalist style and made in the late 60's and early 70s. The lamp has a combination of textured and smooth surfaces.
Richard Barr served as one of Laurel Lighting Company's primary designers from the mid-1960s until the late 1970s and is credited with creating many of their iconic sculptural and brutalist pieces. This lamp is mounted on a solid square mahogany block base.
