These bonsai trees were made in the mid century and are of precious stones such agate, coral, jade. The colors are so rich. The tree is a graceful sort of S shape - very zen! There are several greens and the flowers are pinks with yellow centers. There are little buds which are pinks and coral. The pot is green Celedon and has a design on it. There is a hole in the bottom of the pot and it has faux pebbles at the base of the tree. The pot is 5 7/8" across and the tree is a bit wider than that. The tree itself is made of hundreds of individual pieces that have been wired together with wrapped wire to form this incredibly intricate tree. The leaves have veins etched on them. Think the wrap on the wire is silk thread perhaps? I'm not sure what the faux bois trunk is made of....it is some hard material either stone or glass? Not sure. There is a paper label on the bottom saying Made in China, so I think this makes it from the 70s or later. It is heavy. See less
