Exceptional ink on silk framed Chinese painting. I have seen many antique paintings of mountain tigers, but none with this level of realism. One only needs to observe the eyes, color and texture of the coat, to determine artistic genius. This Asian painting dates 1910-1920. The seal indicates that it came from a shop in Southern China, but it looks Japanese. It is a long painting measuring approximately 17" wide x 48" high.
Please note that there are some reflections from the glass. Color is very good and even.
