It showcases an elegant evening dress by the iconic Balenciaga. Original fashion prints by the great iconic designers have become increasingly more difficult to find with the passage of time. This is a recent purchase we made in Paris. The evening ensemble features a strong structured silhoette, a cinched waist and a layered skirt showcasing flaired pleats. The dress is made from a luxurios supple fabric with a sheen! Note the 2 views of the dress. The model carries a large bouquet of flowers as she makes her entrance. Balenciaga's early styling showed his mastery of form with chic glamor. The design is illustrated and signed by Schompre, a well acclaimed fashion illustrator who worked with fashion icons such as Chanel and Schiaparellli. The image is pristine and clean.
