Excellent vintage condition, like new, no damage. The clown figurine is a R.G. Oggetti piece of art, made in Italy and it has a Swaroski crystal teardrop.

The figurine depicts Pierrot, a character from the Commedia dell'arte, known for his sad expression. It is often a collectible item. Gorgeous Italian Porcelain Capodamonte very unique bust of (Pierrot Pantomime, Commedia dell ' Arte/Comedie Italiene, Saltimbanque, Harlequin, Sad Clown).

It has a glossy milk white porcelain background, with its cap and ruffled collar accent in 22k gold. The detailed features in its face are extraordinary. Under its one eye is a large Genuine Swarovski Crystal teardrop.

This piece is hallmarked with a gold label which states "oggetti realizzati con impasti di Limoges e applicazioni di autentico cristallo Swarovski. Made in Italy". This translates to: realized with crystal application and objects pastes limoges, authentic Swarovski.

It is also hallmarked at the back bottom which is incised with a crown and RG Limoges, which is the maker, and it also has another crown mark with a capital N, which is the hallmark for Naples.

The piece features 24k gold plating or gilt accents on the collar and hat.

It is in beautiful pristine condition, and ready to be added to your collection.
The Capodimonte mark: Pieces associated with the Capodimonte style may have a blue "N" with a crown mark (crowned N mark). This does have the original sticker and an impressed mark reading "RG Made in Italy."
