The front leg, seat and back rest are hand carved from a single block of ancient teak. We added a single piece of wood for the back leg. Full dimensions; 23” wide at the back x 27” wide at the front x 26” deep x 9” seat height x 16” back rest height x floor to the top of the back rest 24” high. Both usable and sculptural. Rare one of a kind piece. This chair was hand made in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity.
