Recently, Klimt's "Portrait of Elisabeth Lederer (1914-1916) sold at Sotheby's New York for $236.4 million, the most expensive work of modern art ever sold at auction. The sale, including fees, was the highest price ever achieved for a Klimt. This 240-page, softcover/wraps book, heavy illustrated in full color, was published in 1998 (a First Edition) by Borders Press. The book includes his late portraits, which are quite rare and the most in demand. Also included, are his earliest art works, as well as his erotic art. Klimt's reverence for women (as portrayed in his gold-infused paintings) is a theme throughout this book. It is in very good, unread condition - clean, bright, unmarked, except for an inscription on the half-title page. This book is as close as some of will get to owning an original Klimt, whose works, I presume will continue to grow in great value. The book will be packed carefully and sent with tracking. See less
