Each dish has gently curved, upward‑turned edges, giving them a shallow bowl‑like form ideal for small servings, trinkets, or display.

All four pieces carry impressed mold and decorator numbers — three dishes marked “29” and “3”, and one marked “3” only. These impressed numerals are consistent with late‑19th‑century Villeroy & Boch production, where mold numbers and decorator codes were often used instead of full factory stamps. Many authenticated V&B majolica pieces from this era show identical impressed‑only markings.

The glaze has the depth, pooling, and tonal variation characteristic of antique majolica, and the relief work is crisp and well‑defined. All four dishes show light, age‑appropriate wear and minor glaze crazing, but no cracks, chips, or repairs.
