It is Not Marked as Such but it is a Small & Hard to Find 1 Gallon Storage Capacity Size. It is also Embossed - Signed by the Well Documented Maker HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & COMPANY in FORT EDWARD NEW YORK. Research also Indicates that This Mark Only Used From Approx 1862 to 1872. It is Rendered in a "Beehive" Form and it has a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior. The Front of the Jug has a Exceptionally Nice Hand Decorated and Well Executed Cobalt Blue Bird Posing on a Branch Decoration. Back in the Day These Types of Stoneware Items were a Necessity in Most of Americas Farms and Household's and They were Made - Intended For Everyday Utilitarian Use.
