Offered for sale is an Octagonal hand-cut and etched-shaped Venetian glass mirror frame with beveled glass glass ornamentation. It is designed with a triple layer mirror frame (three concentric inner octagonal sections) and a large crest with oval etched center with a floral bouquet. All are set in a wooden framework with a lacquered black edge and a wooden extension supporting crest . With visual inspection, the backing appears to be original. The octagonal shape and crested top along with the beveled mirror add to its desirability and value. Note that the "dog bone shaped" brackets on the exterior can be turned to either cover the seams or lay perpendicular to the seam. All brackets can be set in either position for uniformity.
These mirrors were traditionally crafted in Murano, Italy, a region known for its glassmaking expertise. The mirror features a striking octagonal form framed by individually cut and beveled mirrored panels, each delicately hand-etched with floral and foliate motifs. The ornate crest at the top showcases graceful scrollwork and etched decorative details, lending the piece a romantic Old World character.

However, these minor items contribute to its character and authenticity. The mirror itself is visibly vintage. See photos for the spots as they are incorporated into this description for better description. A couple of the "dog bone shaped braces" show small chips on the edge of the glass (see photos). Overall, the imperfections are minimally noticeable and do not affect its function or aesthetic. Structurally, it appears to be sound. Heavy. Back and wire appear to be original.
