Majolica tiled parlor stove, the body sheathed in green and cream glazed tiles molded with an Art-Nouveau lily-of-the-valley motif, the … Read more Majolica tiled parlor stove, the body sheathed in green and cream glazed tiles molded with an Art-Nouveau lily-of-the-valley motif, the corners chamfered and bordered with beaded foliate bands beneath a pierced frieze. The front features paired ventilated cast-iron firebox doors and a single lower ash-cleanout door on one side, all with foliate relief. It stands on turned ceramic feet and is crowned by a later, custom-made warming top composed of a steel frame inset with ceramic tiles. Dimensions are: 41"H X 21 3/4"W X 17 1/2"D. Wear is consistent with age and use. There is minor chipping on several tiles (see photo). This stove was recently appraised at $7500. See less
