This extension folds up from underneath and unfolds, typical of the innovative designs of that era. The four chairs have that characteristic, organic design, particularly in the backrest, where we see a heart shape. They are upholstered in a neat, dark blue fabric. The seat is sturdy, typical of the late 1950s, and encourages an active sitting position – characteristic of the ergonomic thinking of the time.
