This is a gorgeous antique Victorian oak secretary desk, likely dating from the late 19th or early 20th century.
It is constructed of quarter-sawn tiger oak, a popular material for furniture of that era. The desk features a fall-front (or drop-front) writing surface, ornate carvings, and a small mirror. It includes several drawers for storage and a lower cabinet with two paneled doors. The piece sits on decorative legs with castors (wheels), typical of the period.
