Antique Hand-Carved Tramp Art Frame – Five-Layer Design
Dimensions: 7.75" W x 6.75" H x 1.5" D
A finely crafted example of late 19th to early 20th-century tramp art, this small frame features five layers of intricate chip carving. Housed within are two period photographs, each set behind embossed Victorian mattes, adding to the frame’s historical character. These images can be removed, allowing the frame to be repurposed—ideal for a small mirror or personal display.
The reverse side is lined with original antique silver Christmas paper. Overall in good condition, with wear consistent with age. Please note: the top right corner is missing one carved layer.
