Likely English, Victorian–Edwardian era (c. 1890–1920), it features an embossed floral and bee motif, ribbed architectural top handle, rear carry handle, interior iron lining, and wood bun feet. It's a beautifully timeworn piece with real personality and presence. The embossed floral panel with bee detail softens the utilitarian nature of the scuttle, giving it a charming decorative feel while still retaining all its original functionality. Measures approximately 9.5" wide, 14.5" tall, and 15" deep (including handle). In good antique condition. The brass has developed a beautiful aged patina with surface spotting and handling wear consistent with use. The underside shows notable wear, cracks, surface losses, and old paint drips—completely appropriate for a working hearth piece of this age. Interior shows expected oxidation. Lid functions properly.
