Offered is a large solid Walnut wood and woven straw stool made in France in the mid 1950s to early 1960s. Though unmarked and unlabeled, it bears a strong resemblance to "Bauche" styles originally designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1933, and to Gio Ponti's "Superleggera" line for Cassina, featuring clean-lined lightweight pieces in natural materials.
It features elongated bullet-shaped legs with slightly rounded tops, and makes a perfect side table for books or to pop up your feet and read.
