The five-piece ensemble features a distinguished bearded Minister of the Left with a quiver of arrows, a younger Minister of the Right holding a katana, and three court attendants in traditional poses. Each doll is meticulously crafted with hand-painted gofun(white pigment made from pulverized oyster shells) faces and dressed in ornate silk brocade robes with vibrant red and gold detailing. Four of the figures are mounted on a decorative black lacquered wooden base accented with gold floral motifs. For preservation and easy transport, the collection comes housed in its original custom-fitted, red-lined hardshell carrying case, making it a complete and well-preserved set for collectors of Japanese art and cultural heritage.
They are in great vintage condition (marks, wear and some minor damages, please check all pictures for more details).
