The upper doors feature a distinct vertical bar lattice, a functional design element engineered to allow air to circulate around stored grains and prepared foods while keeping pests out. Crafted from solid Northern Elm it features "round-leg" construction—a hallmark of Ming-style joinery. The lower solid panels provided darker, cooler storage for jars and heavy stoneware.
