The plate dates to late 19th century, best of the best quality work, phenomenal hand painting on porcelain. Gorgeous gilt / gold decorated border over blueish -green base. Center medallion features Duchesse De Bourgogne, a gorgeous young lady. It is marked below her portrait "Louise Duchess Of Portsmouth". Painting is signed lower right "Wagner". Back of the plate is marked with a blue period Beehive mark on stark white base, along with "Duchesse De Bourgogne Dec(ember) 2(nd 18)94". Condition is very good, near mint (please see photos). Size is large and impressive 10" diameter wide. This is a great addition to any quality collection! See less
