Large Chinese blue and white porcelain sitting Buddha with conflated Kuan Yin imagery, his right hand in Karana mudra holding … Read more Large Chinese blue and white porcelain sitting Buddha with conflated Kuan Yin imagery, his right hand in Karana mudra holding a wrist mala, his left hand holding the vessel of the water of life. Clothed in flowing robes of ornate floral embellishment over a tunic with a necklace, his right foot resting on his left, his coiffure ornamented with a strand of pearls. Exquisite fine realistic detail through out, down to the fingernails. Blue glazed Xuande reign mark on his back. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
