2 Euro italian coin from 2002 ! VERY RARE ! Only 300 copies ! ! It has an obvious minting defect.
This was the first Euro currency model, starting in 2002 (Italy joined the Euro
In 1999). Many thousands of copies were printed and the portrait of Dante Alighieri was chosen, the greatest Italian poet of the 1200s.
BUT, in the very first "proof of minting", the first 300 coins had an obvious flaw, right on Dante's nose, like the coin on the photo. The defective coinage it
was immediately replaced and the other thousands of copies were perfect, as seen in the second photo. See less
