Elegant and timeless, this vintage 1970s Baker Furniture chest is executed in a refined Louis XVI–inspired design with classic Hollywood Regency appeal. Crafted from solid wood with rich, warm walnut tones, the piece features fluted corner posts, tapered legs with brass sabots, and original brass drawer pulls that lend a sophisticated, architectural presence.
The chest offers five generously sized drawers, including a divided top drawer, providing excellent storage and functionality. Fine construction details such as dovetail joinery, paneled drawer fronts, and a framed top surface reflect Baker’s renowned craftsmanship and quality. The proportions make it ideal for use as a bedroom chest, tall dresser, or statement storage piece in a living space or entryway.
A beautiful example of American high-end furniture design from the 1970s, blending neoclassical French influence with the clean elegance favored during the Hollywood Regency era.
