This is a very nice framed original aquatint etching by important German artist Ferdinand Springer. This piece is a rare E.A. edition of this work. It is signed and also features a personal dedication. The dedication could easily be 'matted out' if desired, but we think it adds a nice charming touch to the work. We wish we knew who 'Jerome' is!
The etching is in good overall condition with typical consistent toning to the paper. It is nicely double matted and framed behind glass with the frame showing some typical wear.
Framed, the piece measures about 25" x 22.5".
