The iconic DAX chair - Dining (D) Arm Chair (A) on X Base (X) - was designed by the Eameses for Herman Miller in the 1950s. It launched as one of the original 5 base options for the new fiberglass chair model. This unique pair of chairs were produced in the mid-1960s and feature a stunning and vibrant shade of purple with a gray trimmed edge and a metal H base (a structural improvement on the original X base). The DAX fiberglass chair has remained a highly-sought after mid century modern design classic to this day. Original Herman Miller manufacturer’s label, patent label and milacron embossed logo on chair undersides.

CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Upholstery is clean and vibrant with minor scattered marks expected with age and a few surface scratches to seats. General patina to metal frame.
