An incredibly elegant matched pair of mid-century table lamps carved from solid onyx marble, each featuring a stepped plinth base and square column with naturally occurring veining in layered ivory, honey, and gray-green tones. The stone exhibits subtle translucency and depth, emphasizing the quality of the material and the precision of the carving.
Both lamps are accented with warm brass details, including turned collars and brass ball feet, and retain their original silk shantung shades, identifiable by the natural slub texture and soft, uneven luster characteristic of true silk. The onyx bases show a few very small, shallow edge nicks along some corners, consistent with age and normal handling; these are minor and not visually distracting.
