This Mid-Century Modern lounge chair was designed by American design legend Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates circa 1960s. This armchair is documented in the Craft Associates catalogue as model 2161-C chair. The chair features a modern sculptural walnut frame exposed in the front with a smooth shapely profile. The body has angled armrests and a dramatic high back that elegantly narrows at the top. This stylishly cozy chair has been newly finished and upholstered in a rich hunter green velvet. The arm height is 22".
Adrian Pearsall is one of the most popular American designers of the 20th century. He designed for his own company Craft Associates which he founded in 1952. Adrian Pearsall and Craft Associates became synonymous with fine Mid-Century Modern furniture.
