The lockable top opens on three hinges, revealing a sumptuous interior lined with pink textile. Surrounding the display space are glass panels, each encased in a delicate ormolu frame. The shaped apron seamlessly connects the four cabriole legs, which are capped with ormolu sabots that mirror the intricate design of the corner friezes. The friezes, attached to the knees of the legs, are adorned with ormolu mounts cast in scrolling yet refined shapes. The meticulously arranged wood veneers further highlight the craftsmanship that defined French furniture making of the era.
