Although the "slip-mold" technique was a change from hand-thrown casting, it allowed for a far broader range of styles and features. The "crackle glaze" on this vase is new in 1926 and it caught on very quickly because of its simulated look of "crazing" except that it is very uniform and attractive. It quickly caught on among American pottery makers. This vessel has an Insured Value of $190 and has no chips, cracks or fractures. See less
