Also the overall quality in construction is absolutely second to none and there is no doubt whatsoever that this table was produced under the banner of the world leading cabinet makers Gillows of Lancaster.

In terms of its function then as the name suggests this type of table, with the little hinged lid was originally designed to be used in a bedroom for occasional correspondence. Now of course it would serve as an incredibly elegant occasional, or lamp type table in a whole host of different places around the home.

This is a rarely found table which is of true Gillows quality and design and its presence alone would certainly add class, elegance and sophistication to any room, in any house.

As with all items which we offer this table has been inspected by our highly skilled, trained antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is in its best possible condition for immediate placement after purchase.
